Catherine Winfree | Animal Communicator & Flower Essence Practitioner

Every blend starts with a conversation. With your chicken (flock).

Catherine Winfree is an animal communicator and flower essence practitioner based in North Carolina. Before selecting a single essence, she tunes into your chicken's (flock's) specific emotional state, not their breed, not their place in the pecking order, but what they're actually feeling.

What she hears shapes every blend she makes. That's why no two Calm Animal Solutions orders are ever identical, and why chicken parents often notice changes they weren't expecting.

Are flower essences backed by vets?

Flower essences are generally considered safe and are often used alongside veterinary care.

While not a prescription, they can complement the training or medical support your vet recommends. Always let your vet know what you are using.

I've tried Bach Rescue Remedy. How is this different?

Bach Rescue Remedy is one of the most recognized flower essence blends in the world, and it has introduced many chicken parents to what flower essences can do. It contains five essences formulated for general stress and acute upset. For many situations, it helps.

These blends go further.
Catherine works from the full Bach flower essence library and beyond, selecting essences specifically for the emotional pattern your chicken is carrying, whether that's fear, broodiness, or pecking order conflict, rather than one general formula for everything.

If Rescue Remedy has helped but hasn't fully resolved what you're seeing,

Relaxed Chicken or Social Chickens is the natural next step.

Can I use Relaxed Chicken and Social Chickens alongside my vet's treatments?

Yes.

Flower essences do not contain oils, herbs, or active compounds that interact with medications or supplements.

Safe to use alongside any veterinary treatment.
As with any new product, check with your vet if you have specific concerns about your chickens.

How do I use Relaxed Chicken and Social Chickens?

Every blend can be

• misted into the coop
• applied to your hands before handling
• misted onto roosts or nesting boxes

Every flock is different, so it's worth trying a few methods to see what your birds respond to best.
